Shot.2                                                       Hallway- Kitchen







A basic direction light for the shadow



Here I have set my lights with just 1 directional light for the shadows and another one is an area light for the light from the sun illuminating the whole,  this is because there is no any other indirect light in the room. And also keeping the directors vision as he wants the room to look bright, white walls and some sort of a dreaming imigination.


This is the photons of the room, photons are the light source which are produced by the light but not by the the light intensity . They are like a little particles as you will see in the picture below.Basically they spread all over the corners and large scale areas and illuminate light within it.



This is a quick render just to see how light looks  form the hallway,



In this image you can see the light photons in orange color, and also I am setting up the light in the hallway because the light from the window is not reciving as much photons they should to make the room brighter. So I have set a spot light which will produce photons for the hallway.

Here I am adjusting the background layer as you can see it shows a black bracket

Here I moved the window a bit inside and it looks fine now

Lighting the hallways, trying to make light come form the window of the Kitchen so that the hallway looks brighter. So I thought to use this hallway lamp but it does not go well as the whole film is not going to have any lamps or indirect lighting.



so I have removed the lamp and created a spot light which will produce photons in the hallway as the photons form the window are not reaching the hallways, so had to creat a spot light which will bring more photons .








So in this image you see how the photons have played around to get a clean result, but the scene don't have any shadows coming throng the window which is only until the kitchen but i want it to reach the entrance of the hallway.


After standing the position of the sun light this result is more what i desired about, but the shadows are very sharp at the movement. 



So this is how it looks now the hallway


Here I have soften the edges of the shadow it looks more realistic 


The director wanted the floor to different as current i had wooden floor so I was just trying on a different texture like this one which don't work well at all, so we decided to created floor texture in a different method called maya substance texture.


The texture of the stove is quite not right, so going to make it white colour



This is the final colour of the stove, the result looks as I wanted and the fire looks good to

a close up render to the kettle





This is how the kitchen floor texture looks like now, this was done in a substance method of maya.
